The Self-Employment and Rehabilitation Program is an initiative aimed at empowering individuals and communities by providing the necessary resources and skills to establish self-sustaining livelihoods. Since its inception in 1986, the program has been a cornerstone of FDA’s social development efforts, focusing on the rehabilitation of individuals affected by unemployment, poverty, and other socio-economic challenges.

Over the years, the program has helped thousands of individuals by offering vocational training, financial assistance, and support for starting small businesses. These efforts are particularly focused on those from marginalized and vulnerable communities, ensuring that they have access to opportunities that promote financial independence and economic growth.

Key Achievements:

  • 1986-2020 Impact: A total of 46,856 individuals have been taught literacy through non-formal education.

  • 2020-2024 Impact: The program has provided financial aid, skill development workshops, and vocational training to 480 individuals, helping them build their own businesses or find employment.
